Porcelain veneers Mississauga are slim pieces of porcelain used to reproduce the genuine look of teeth, as well as, offering strength and resilience equal to genuine tooth enamel.

What issues are porcelain veneers used for?

Porcelain veneers can be used for;

1. To fill small gaps
2. Fix fractured or cracked teeth
3. Whiten the teeth
4 Make the teeth even giving a nice smile

Are you eligible for porcelain veneers

Are you a good candidate for porcelain veneers? Your dentist will be able to tell you if you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers.

First, the dentist will examine your teeth and then decide if the porcelain veneer is right for the job.

Things that will determine if you can use porcelain veneers are;

*Where is the tooth located – if it is in the back where most of the chewing is done then porcelain will not be a good choice

*If there is enough tooth left to have the porcelain veneer adhere to

*Budget as porcelain is more expensive than resin veneers; the cost of porcelain veneers is around $1,100 to $2,000 per tooth (based on fees in the Vancouver area – Vancouver Centre for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry) but with proper care can last 10 to 20 years.

Procedure for porcelain veneer

Porcelain veneers will require 1 to 2 visits to your dentist or clinic such as Bristol Dental Clinic Mississauga.

If the lab is making your veneer then it will require 2 visits, however, if it is premade it will only require 1 visit.

Placing the veneer does not usually require a local anesthesia. The tooth is rinsed and etched as is the veneer so that the adhesive can be applied and the veneer is placed on the tooth.

After the veneer is placed on the tooth it is cured for 60 seconds with light at that point you can return to your daily oral hygiene and diet.
